Listen as Erik Jones exploded over the NASCAR team radio after a crash on the final lap at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the final lap, Erik Jones was caught in an accident, ending his day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway just a half-lap before the finish.

Listen to the Erik Jones team audio below.

Jones is one of the calmer personalities in the garage area. However, as he exited the race in a crash, it was a volcano of emotions.

AJ Allmendinger got loose and spun across the track off-turn two. Ryan Preece ran into his door at full speed.

Michael McDowell was forced to turn right to avoid the incident. With two cars to his outside already, he was hooked by Ryan Preece.

McDowell was turned directly into Jones. Jones went for a long slide down the backstretch before the car came to a stop along the inside wall.

Six cars were collected.

No caution was thrown for the crash as William Byron crossed the finish line and grabbed the win. The crash wasn’t highlighted in detail but it can be seen below as well.

Team communications

Erik Jones jumped on the radio, “Fuckkkkk!”

“What happened Carelli?”

No. 43 spotter Rick Carelli jumped on the radio to respond, “That got sideways up there in front of us and we got drilled?”

The team asked, “You alright man?”

Erik Jones added, “I’m fine. Just fucking pissed! This fucking sucks.”

The crew chief stated, “I’ll get this sorta out. I’ll get things better.”

Jones is driving for Legacy Motor Club in 2023. Jimmie Johnson came on board the team as a co-owner, re-branding the team formerly known as Petty-GMS Racing. Sports News
