Raheem Sterling

A person with knowledge of the situation told World News Spot that England soccer star Raheem Sterling is returning home from the World Cup in Qatar after armed intruders broke into his home while his family was inside.

The individual told World News Spot that the incident occurred on Saturday evening, and Sterling is said to be “shaken” and “concerned” about his children’s safety following the break-in. An individual who spoke with World News Spot stated that, “now he’s focusing on being at home and supporting his family,” but that if the circumstances warranted it, Raheem Sterling could return to Qatar.

On Saturday, England will play France in the World Cup quarterfinals.

Surrey Police said they are looking into a burglary report from Oxshott, Leatherhead, in a statement to World News Spot. A Surrey Police spokesperson told World News Spot, “Police were contacted just before 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd after the occupants of the property came home and discovered a number of items including jewelry and watches had been stolen.”

“The investigation is ongoing and inquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.

The items were discovered to have been stolen retrospectively, so there was no threat of violence. The circumstances are under investigation. Sterling didn’t play in England’s 3-0 win over Senegal on Sunday. Later, England manager Gareth Southgate said that the 27-year-old was dealing with a “family matter.”

On Sunday, Southgate stated to reporters, “I spent a lot of time with Raheem this morning.”

There are days when you have to deal with unforeseen circumstances. He has just left for home. We don’t want to go into too much detail because we are obviously concerned about him having access to space and having his privacy respected. “Of course, it’s not ideal for the group before a big game, but it pales into insignificance; in those moments, the individual is more important than the group.”

The Football Association of England has been contacted by World News Sports for comment. The Chelsea forward participated in England’s first two World Cup group games and scored in the 6-2 victory over Iran.
